Nerina Dunt

Nerina Dunt is a researcher, writer, and teacher of Art History and Theory. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) (2000), from the South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia, and a Master of Arts (Art History) (2005), from the University of Adelaide in conjunction with the Art Gallery of South Australia.  She is currently in the final stage of her Art History PhD at the University of Adelaide, which focuses on aesthetic transitions in Australian contemporary Indigenous art.

Aside from her postgraduate studies, Nerina’s major research projects have centred on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Collection at the Flinders University Art Museum, and South Australian Artists at the Art Gallery of South Australia, commissioned for Design & Art Australia online.

Nerina has recently joined the AAANZ (Art Association of Australia and New Zealand) Open Access Art History Advocacy Group, which is improving guidelines and advice about open access publishing for students and scholars.
