The BVA [Hons] program equips students to pursue careers as practising artists and provides a pathway to post-graduate research programs.

“I can now afford the materials I need to sustain my painting practice and am able to expand the resources that help fuel my ideas and practice. The scholarship has allowed me a greater sense of financial stability in balancing full time study and living out of home independently for the first time.”

- Maxwell Callaghan, 2018 Graduate of the BVA [Hons]

My time in the Honours program at the Adelaide Central School of Art was one of formative artistic progress, where I was given the time and space required to gather a body of knowledge that still informs my research today. The program afforded me the opportunity to extend the developments made during my undergraduate degree, and prompted me to think critically about these ideas. I found the ideal balance of support and independence through weekly meetings with my supervisor, as well as the broader staff/student community by way of a consistent and supportive critique program.

 - Ash Tower, 2014 Graduate of the BVA [Hons]
