On Elegance While Sleeping

Adelaide Central Gallery has reopened with ‘On Elegance While Sleeping’.

Visit this intriguing new show between 9am – 5pm on weekdays and experience the work of local artists Sundari Carmody, Honor Freeman, Sasha Grbich, and Kynan Tan.

These artists all use sleep as a material process in their work. The exhibition examines the links between biological and cosmological rhythms, the depths of unconscious knowledge and the twenty-first century tendency to quantify and commodify sleep. Featuring sculpture, video, scent, and light, this is an exhibition not to be missed!

On Elegance While Sleeping will be open until Friday 24 July. Five people are allowed in the gallery at once to ensure physical distancing is maintained. You can book a time via appointment and get your own gallery tour with curator Andrew Purvis, or feel free to drop past and see the show (just be aware you may have to wait if others are already in the space).

Send an email to Andrew.purvis@acsa.sa.edu.au to book your time + tour.

Exhibition open: Wednesday 9 June - Friday 24 July
Gallery tours can be booked for Mon, Tues, Thur & Fri 9am – 5pm
