As a not-for-profit organisation, Adelaide Central School of Art is reliant on the generosity of donors, both private and public, along with fundraising initiatives and student enrolments. In recent years, the School’s corporate sponsors have provided support for major projects, teaching and student studios, library facilities, exhibitions, and several other public functions.

In 2013/2014, the School's Ambassadors donated funds to enabled the School to fit-out the common room areas of the Teaching and Studio Building. In 2015/16, the School is aiming to raise over $50,000 to construct a covered outdoor learning area for the Sculpture Department. 

The Adelaide Central Gallery also receives support from corporate partners for individual exhibitions, and is available for hire at certain periods to hold corporate functions, events and product launches.
