Four Points

13 June - 14 July 2017
Adelaide Central Gallery

Bernadette Klavins, Michael Schaefer, Timmi Tsapaliaris and Luke Wilcox

Four Points presents new video performance works that address fundamental human needs for survival, including air, nutrients, energy, sunlight, sleep and water.

These basic living essentials have been assigned to a compass point – the compass important for its consideration as an ancient, undeviating and universal survival tool that navigates and guides humans through their environment.

The artists have been assigned a direction and need: West + water; North + nutrients; East + energy; South + sleep. Their works will project onto the corresponding directional walls of the Gallery.

The artists in Four Points are all graduates of the School and have each been commissioned to make a new digital work for this exhibition.

Read the Media Release, which includes information about the artists.
