Workbench Fundraising Campaign

Can you help us build seven heavy-duty workbenches for our Southern Courtyard?

At present there is no external infrastructure at our campus, and we have identified that our Sculpture Department and students will benefit greatly from a sheltered outdoor work environment.

The recently commenced Southern Courtyard Development will result in secure workspaces and storage areas in the Southern Courtyard of the School’s Teaching and Studios Building, which will enable our students to work outside and create larger, more ambitious, work all year round.

But before our students can use this exciting new space, we need your help.

To complete the Southern Courtyard, we need to raise enough funds to build seven heavy-duty workbenches.

These benches have been purpose-designed with robust steel frames and strong castors for students to work on with a range of materials including timber, metal, wax and clay. The new facilities and benches, designed by Skein Architects, will also enable the Sculpture Department to conduct casting and clay modelling classes in a more appropriate environment.

The cost of these workbenches is $20,000. We have secured 50% of the funds through generous support from Hotel Care Community Projects, but we still need your help to raise the remaining $10,000 by the end of the 2017 financial year.

Can you help us build our workbenches for the Southern Courtyard?

All donors will be invited to an exclusive tour of the Southern Courtyard and celebration event to view the workbenches once they are completed. Gifts of $1000 and above will be acknowledged on our Donor Board and in the 2017 Graduate Exhibition catalogue.

Your generous support is greatly appreciated and will make a difference to our students and the delivery of our sculpture classes.
