Capital Campaign

After years of planning, stage one of the School's move to the Glenside Cultural Precinct was completed in 2013. We worked with an award winning team of architects, engineers and builders to refurbish two iconic heritage buildings to create superior teaching and studio facilities for our students and staff.

The School financed the capital development of the buildings through a commercial bank loan and also donations by individuals and corporations. With support from our generous donors, our Capital Campaign continues to raise funds towards this project, and with the support of the State Government, in August 2012 a 50-year lease was secured that has provided the first permanent home for the School in its 30+ year history. 

As well as providing new opportunities for our degree programs and students, the improved facilities enable us to extend our outreach program and community access through public programs, such as short courses, masterclasses and workshops. Adelaide Central Gallery also has a new home with us, as does Central Artist Supplies, all set on beautiful grounds, conducive to en plein air painting and outdoor sculpture installation, with improved studio, teaching and reference facilities purpose-designed to suit our needs, now and into the future.
