Entry Requirements for domestic students

Adelaide Central School of Art will:

  1. admit both school-leavers and mature-age students to its Associate Degree program.
  2. consider both academic factors and non-academic factors in making decisions about whether to accept an applicant to its Associate Degree program.
  3. treat all applicants in a fair and equitable manner.
  4. seek to ensure that each applicant accepted into the Associate Degree program will have a good chance of completing the course successfully.
 

Academic entry requirements for domestic students

The following is normally required:

  1. Satisfactory completion of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) or the equivalent in an Australian secondary school with a minimum TER score of 60 OR
  2. completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

AND/OR

 

Non-academic or mature age entry guidelines for domestic students

The following are normally required:

  1. completed or partly completed a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution OR
  2. completed a recognised TAFE Certificate IV, Diploma or Associate Diploma OR
  3. completed a recognised Foundation Studies Program, OR
  4. previous visual art study or practice as demonstrated by a portfolio of work presented at an interview with a faculty member;

Note: A recognition of prior learning (RPL) process may be used to assess whether an applicant has an adequate foundation to be granted credit for entry into the course

Semester 1 2012

Application and Enrolment Procedures for domestic students

Adelaide Central School of Art is now able to offer students access to the FEE-HELP government student loan scheme.  As a result of this, the process for applying and enrolling in courses at ACSA has been revised.  Please read the following information carefully, noting the new application and enrolment dates.  Complying with these dates will ensure your application and enrolment are processed in a fair and timely manner.

 

FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY:

 

APPLICATION: due 5 December 2011

A late fee of $100 will apply to application forms received after 5 December 2011.

  1. Submit your New Student Application Form as early as possible, but no later than 5 December 2011.
    Your application form must be accompanied by evidence of certificates, SACE results, parchments or transcripts certified by a Justice of the Peace.  Uncertified documents will not be accepted.
  2. If you are required to attend a portfolio interview, you will be contacted by the School to arrange an interview time on Monday 4th July 2011.
  3. If your application is successful you will receive a Letter of Offer by email or post along with an enrolment form, tuition fee information and FEE-HELP application (if applicable).

ENROLMENT AND FEES: due 15 December 2011

A late fee of $100 will apply to enrolment forms received after 15 December 2011.

  1. Once you have received a Letter of Offer, you must confirm your enrolment by returning your
         a) completed enrolment form, and
         c) tuition payment or FEE-HELP application
    to the School no later than 15 December 2011
    Failure to remit payment or submit your FEE-HELP application by this date will result in forfeiting your place in the course.

FOR CONTINUING ACSA STUDENTS ONLY:

(students who have completed an award subject unit at ACSA)

 

ENROLMENT AND FEES: due by 15 December 2011.

A late fee of $100 will apply to enrolment forms received after 15 December 2011

  1. To secure your place in a course, you must submit your
         a) Continuing Student Enrolment form and
         b) tuition payment or FEE-HELP application
    together, and no later than 15 December 2011.
    Failure to enrol and remit payment/FEE-HELP application by this date may result in missing out on a place in your preferred subjects.
