About Fontanelle Gallery & Studios

Established in 2012 by Brigid Noone, Ben Leslie and Mary-Jean Richardson, Fontanelle is an independent creative hub in Adelaide that promotes excellence in contemporary visual art. It provides an incubator for emerging, mid-career and established South Australian artists, curators and writers to produce work, take risks, engage in dialogue and debate, and exhibit.

Fontanelle is currently located across two sites in Port Adelaide and Bowden. This residency is offered for the Bowden site, which houses two galleries (including Sister Gallery), a technical workshop, a common installation area, and a dedicated space for artist-led workshops, lectures and 26 individual studios.
